Meth Teeth – Everything Went Wrong

This is a lo-fi album from a band from Portland, OR, I rather enjoyed it, I don’t listen to lo-fi that much so it’s nice to hear something I haven’t now and again from the genre. The album has everything you would expect from a lo-fi band, distorted guitars and vocals throughout and drum cymbals being hit throughout, the drums and guitar over power the vocals and the album has low production (in a good way), making it sound raw. I can’t say I am too fond of the singer’s voice, but it works well in the music. One criticism I would give it is that many of the songs are very similar, for a few of them you can’t tell it’s a different song, but overall it holds together strong as an album. Most of the album is fast songs but occasionally slows the pace for tracks such as “I Was Wrong”. Overall I enjoyed the album and would recommend it to people who like lo-fi.
